Zoho Broadens Mobile Device Support
Collaborative technology developer Zoho has released Zoho Mobile, an expanded version of the company's online application suite for mobile devices. Previously mobile support extended only to Apple's iPhone; now Blackberry, Google Android, and other mobile devices are also supported through a single common interface.
Zoho Mobile lets users access their Zoho applications from a variety of platforms, including iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Android, and Symbian. Applications include Zoho Mail, Zoho Calendar, Zoho Writer, Zoho Sheet, Zoho Show, and Zoho Creator. According to Zoho, Currently, with Zoho Mobile, users can only view their Zoho Writer, Zoho Sheet, and Zoho Show files but can compose and send e-mail with Zoho Mail and access Zoho Creator apps. "Going forward," the Zoho said, "the company plans to expand both the feature functionality and the portfolio of Zoho applications available in Zoho Mobile."
Zoho Mobile is available now as a free service. Zoho also announced that it's planning to expand localized support for the service, beginning with Japanese, which is now available. Further information can be found here.
