TechPod Lectern Gets One-Touch Lecture Capture

Tecom is upgrading its TechPod Multimedia Lecterns, adding single-button recording for classroom capture applications.

The TechPod is a podium that integrates multimedia capabilities, including AV equipment, and combines them with a control panel, microphone, camera, and interactive display to facilitate classroom presentations.

Now it also adds a multimedia recording option, which lets presenters click a single button to capture all sources for archival purposes or for live streaming. It supports both HD and SD standards and formats including QuickTime and MPEG-4. It can stream up to 5 Mbps at 30 FPS in 1080p.

The new technology will be demonstrated at InfoComm 2009 later this month. Further information can be found here.
