New College of Western Idaho Tackles Document Management with ImageNow

The College of Western Idaho has selected ImageNow from Perceptive Software for a document management project in its admissions, financial aid, and registrar's office. Based in Nampa, the three-campus college offered its first for-credit curriculum this past spring as Idaho's newest community college--the first to be established in the state in 45 years.

The college chose ImageNow because of its integration with Datatel's Colleague student information system, which the institution is also using. ImageNow will be integrated with the Datatel application non-programmatically, allowing the college to implement the solution quickly.

"An important factor in our selection of ImageNow was Perceptive Software's exclusive partnership with Datatel," said Kevin Jensen, financial aid director. "Additionally, we felt ImageNow offered unparalleled flexibility and scalability, both critical factors considering our institution's growth potential."

"We view ImageNow as a solution that can grow with our college and contribute to an operations foundation that will allow us to grow more efficiently," added Jensen. "Being able to make adjustments and changes non-programmatically, as needed, will be key as we move forward."

CWI is currently planning a fall expansion into the employee services department, followed by expansions into the student accounts receivable and finance departments in 2010. Ultimately, the college plans to leverage ImageNow campus-wide.
