Harvard Law School Moves to Agresso SIS

Harvard Law School will be implementing a new student information system from Agresso. Agresso Education includes a suite of applications for registration and academic records, transcript management, program completion and degree audit, student accounts, curriculum planning, faculty information, clinical and public services job placements, class rosters, and anonymous grading. The university has also hired the vendor to customize the software.

"Our evaluation of the student information system market uncovered that while there are several good solutions on the market, Harvard Law School requires a level of flexibility and specialized functionality beyond what most platforms support today," said Dan Kaplan, manager of client services. "What we were looking for was fundamental agility in the platform, and the ability to integrate additional business functions together within a single system."

Located in Cambridge, MA, the school has about 1,900 students.

Other institutions using Agresso include a consortium of 21 colleges and universities in Alberta, where the system is administered by Bow Valley College, and the Portland State University Foundation in Oregon.
