Planar Ships Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall System

Planar Systems has started shipping the new Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall System, an LCD panel system that delivers tiled visuals to create a wall-sized display.

Many video wall panels have large bezels that can obstruct portions of on-screen content and disrupt the overall look when used in video walls. This system incorporates 46-inch LCD panels that tile together with only a 7.3 mm image-to-image gap, providing a more seamless image. The display also mounts only 4.5 inches from screen to wall with the company's EasyAxis mounting system. The mount system features six-axis adjustments for alignment in any array for all types of installations.

The Clarity Matrix LCD Video Wall System is built for uninterrupted operation, making it suited to digital signage and control room applications. Features that facilitate continuous operation include front-service access, redundant power supplies, off-board rack-mounted electronics, and power supplies to decrease heat behind the video wall. In addition, the unit requires no power outlets behind the video wall itself, reducing complexity of installation and maintenance.

It also includes Planar's BigPicture Plus built-in processing, which makes it simpler for the operator to fill the tiled displays using single or multiple sources.
