GestureTek Demos Large-Format Vertical Multi-Touch Display

GestureTek demonstrated earlier this month a new plug and play vertical multi-touch display that allows users to control the screen both with touch and with gesture recognition technology. The demonstration took place at the Integrated Systems Europe trade show in Amsterdam.

The new display is a freestanding 67-inch screen that functions as both a multimedia digital sign and presentation system. Users interact with the display by pointing at or touching the screen, using either one-handed or two-handed gestures.

The company said depth, including the required hardware inside, is 22 inches. It can be installed without a technician. Pricing has not yet been announced, the company indicated it would be an affordable solution for its product category.
