Jenzabar and Wimba Team To Offer Lifecycle Collaboration

Jenzabar is teaming up with Wimba to integrate their respective applications to help their higher education institutions stay in touch with constituents as applicants, students, and alumni.

With this new partnership, Jenzabar's Internet Campus Solution portal and e-Racer learning management system will be integrated with Wimba's Collaboration Suite, which includes Classroom, Pronto, and Voice. Wimba recently won the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) CODiE award for best collaboration suite. The Wimba programs provide a collaboration environment for courses, meetings, and training. Jenzabar's portal product connects members of the campus community with an institution's database through a Web browser.

"Collaboration plays a critical role in supporting the strategic initiatives of our customers--not only enhancing teaching and learning but helping them meet administrative objectives like recruiting prospective students, virtually delivering student services, and engaging alumni," said Donovan Lytle, Wimba's vice president of business development. "Our partnership with Jenzabar will enable institutions to easily engage and collaborate with students through the entire life cycle of their relationship with the institution."

Jenzabar CEO and Chairman Robert Maginn Jr. agreed. "Technology plays a major role in effectively engaging and interacting with constituents. Offering cutting-edge technology that encourages collaboration is crucial for a productive learning environment. We are certain our integration with Wimba will allow colleges and universities to meet the expectations of Web-savvy constituents, establish campus-wide collaboration, and help provide an ideal educational experience for students."
