California University Turns to Tech To Improve Indoor Air Efficiency

California State Polytechnic University has chosen Aircuity's OptiNet system to help improve indoor air efficiency and decrease energy costs in its biotechnology building. The university in Pomona has committed to an action plan of climate neutrality.

The OptiNet system, which is anticipated to save about $170,000 annually by cutting electrical, heating and cooling energy use, continuously senses and analyzes the science building's indoor environment, and automatically makes adjustments to ventilation flow as needed.

Other universities that are using OptiNet include University of Houston, University of Iowa, and University of Pennsylvania.
