Shorter U Shifts Support to Outside Providers

Shorter University has signed on for IT services from an education tech dynamic duo. This 3,775-student college in Rome, GA, will be getting its help desk services, network and server monitoring, and application support from CampusEAI Consortium and Jenzabar. The two companies teamed up in August 2011 to deliver the suite of Web-based services to institutional customers.

The goal of the outsourcing, according to a vendor statement, is to allow Shorter IT staff to focus on more "localized needs."

CampusEAI will provide coverage of end user support and monitoring of network devices around the clock. Jenzabar will manage its own software on the campus, including upgrades, installations, end-user training, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
