ProProfs Quiz Maker Expands Assessment Tools

ProProfs has released an updated slate of features for Quiz Maker, the company's online assessment creation tool, including new reporting capabilities and an expanded question bank.

Quiz Maker is a Web-based assessment platform that allows educators to create and administer public and private tests. It includes six question types, a bank of pre-built questions and quiz templates, reporting and analytics features, privacy/security tools, and support for multimedia. Quiz Maker comes in both free and paid subscription editions, with subscriptions ranging from $3.97 to $9.97 per month for educators. (The free edition is ad-supported and limited, lacking reporting, privacy, and other features.)

In the latest update, Quiz Maker offers more than 3 million sample questions and 300,000 quiz templates that educators can use to build their tests. It also offers new reporting capabilities and a grouping feature that allows educators to "create and track quizzes for separate groups of quiz-takers and host those quizzes in dedicated environments," according to the company.

The basic, ad-supported edition of Quiz Maker is free. It allows for unlimited quizzes but does not include privacy, sharing, analytics, or reporting capabilities. Subscription versions of the service run $3.97 to $9.97 per month for qualified educators (with higher-end subscriptions offering private user accounts and multimedia upload and storage). Business accounts offer more features, such as branding, licensing for commercial use, premium widgets, and phone support. Those business accounts run $19.97 to $69.97 per month.
