Online Platform Hosts Interactive Music Activities

Music students can now access a music workbook—formerly only available in print—via the Web.

Noteflight, a Web-based music writing application, has released an interactive version of W.W. Norton’s The Musician’s Guide to Theory and Analysis student workbook. The online music platform houses more than 600 interactive activities.

To access the exercises, students first purchase the worksheets on W.W. Norton's Web site, and are then redirected to Noteflight, where they view and complete the activities through a private account. They can share their work, with students and instructors, through e-mail or their school's learning management system.

Noteflight worksheets can be purchased separately or as part of a bundle with Musician’s Guide textbooks. Students who purchase the textbook and workbook package can use Crescendo, Noteflight's premium service, to create their own music compositions.
