U New Hampshire Adds WiFi to Sports Arena

The University of New Hampshire's (UNH) has expanded its wireless network. The 14,000-student institution located in Durham, NH recently extended WiFi coverage to its Whittemore Center, a multi-purpose arena that hosts shows, concerts, and sporting events. The new network supports up to 7,500 concurrent users.

UNH worked with Enterasys Networks on the new installation. The deployment includes the company's "IdentiFi Wi-Fi, NetSight management, S-Series switches and B-Series stackable switches," according to a prepared statement. Enterasys WiFi solution is also deployed in the school's residence halls, academic facilities, and outdoor spaces.

The university plans to release a mobile app that will provide users with video and live event updates.
