Crestron Rolls Out New DigitalMedia Presentation System

Crestron DMPS3-300-C-AEC
Crestron is now shipping the new DMPS3-300-C-AEC DigitalMedia Presentation System, an HD presentation control and signal routing product for multimedia presentations and videoconferencing in meeting rooms, videoconference rooms and classrooms.

The all-in-one, network-grade appliance combines the control system, multimedia matrix switcher, mic mixer, audio conferencing interface, audio DSP, amplifier, and DigitalMedia distribution center in one three-space rackmount package. It includes an integrated audio conference interface and full-bandwidth adaptive acoustic echo cancelling on each of its six mic inputs, and integrates with up to two external audio or video codecs. 

Pre-loaded Crestron .AV Framework software auto-configures the system, enabling the DMPS3-300-C-AEC to control up to four displays; connect via HDMI to a Crestron AirMedia device for wireless BYOD presentation capability; connect to other DM devices; and communicate with Crestron Fusion software for central monitoring, management and control of all technology across the organization.

The built-in Crestron 3-Series Control System provides advanced networking and enterprise security through Active Directory. According to the company, Crestron 3-Series provides:

  • More processing power, speed and memory;
  • Support for 802.1x authentication technology;
  • Built-in BACnet IP support for integration with existing building management systems;
  • Support for SIMPL#, enabling C# programmers to easily develop AV applications;
  • High-speed, real-time multi-tasking for up to 10 programs simultaneously; and
  • Reduced compile time.
High-speed Ethernet connectivity means the DMPS3-300-C-AEC can be integrated with IP-controllable devices and can provide complete, customizable control of every AV device on the network, as well as lighting, shades and climate — all without requiring a separate control system.

The DMPS3-300-C-AEC meets the HDBaseT Alliance specifications, ensuring interoperability with third-party HDBaseT products. Via DM, the DMPS3-300-C-AEC can be connected directly to any HDBaseT compliant source or display device without requiring a DM transmitter or receiver.
