Utah's Dixie State Adopts Online Safety Program

A Utah university has adopted an online training program to address staff and student safety on campus. Dixie State University chose SafeColleges
from Scenario Learning to provide safety and compliance management for its
community, which includes nearly 8,600 students.
The staff course library covers 11 categories, including emergency management, IT, security, health and human resources, among other
subjects. Each area includes multiple courses. A student program encompasses online courses for three categories, including bystander
intervention and alcohol awareness.
Using the program, administrators and managers can track completion of training, monitor progress and obtain compliance reports. According
to the company, the use of the training program has led to reductions in workers compensation claims.
Other institutional users of SafeColleges products have included Southwestern Oregon
Community College and West Hills Community College District in California.
