Fullbridge To Offer Career Development Courses on edX
Fullbridge,
a company that provides online
training programs, will offer a series of online career development
courses on
the edX platform.
The
five-part Career Edge series is designed to
assist those who are new college graduates and those who may be making
mid-career changes to develop a marketable personal brand and the
skills needed
to enhance their success in the recruiting process.
In
order to distribute the courses on a wider
basis, Fullbridge has joined edX, the massive open online course
(MOOC) provider that hosts online university-level courses in a wide
range of
disciplines to a worldwide student body, including some courses at no
charge.
"So many students and young professionals have an
innate
desire to launch their careers or change jobs, but don't have time to
attend
workshops or go back to school," said Fullbridge Co-Founder and
Executive Chair
Candice Carpenter Olson. "The partnership with edX allows us to give
them the
business fundamentals they need for a true life change, while letting
them work
at their own pace."
Registration for the first course,
"Design Your Career,"
will begin October 28 and the online course will be available November 9.
It will be followed by:
- "Communication and Teamwork" December 15;
- "Business Analysis and Data Analytics" January 12;
- "Analytical Problem Solving and Design Thinking"
February 9; and
- "Resume, Networking and Interview Skills" March 8.
The courses can be taken individually or as part
of the
Fullbridge Xseries Program, a sequence of courses designed to build
mastery in
a specific area of study that then qualifies participants for a
certificate.
