Ashland U Partners with Teach n' Kids Learn on Online Teacher PD

Ashland University's Professional Development Services has teamed up with Teach n' Kids Learn (TKL) to launch comprehensive online professional development courses for teachers.

The organizations have partnered on two dozen courses covering topics such as the "ABCs of the Common Core for Elementary Language Arts," Blended Learning: Fostering College and Career Readiness, Grades K-12" and "Increasing Student Engagement: Planning Outside the Box."

Through the partnership, teachers will now have access to "a growing catalog of dynamic graduate level and innovative courses to educators through any mobile device," according to a news release. "Teachers will have the ability to select courses which will align to their Individualized Professional Development Plan."

"We are proud to be the number one provider of Professional Development in the state of Ohio," said Eugene Linton, director of professional development at Ashland University, in a prepared statement. "Our partnership with Teach n' Kids Learn will give educators even more options for quality courses to further their education. Teach n' Kids Learn shares Ashland University's commitment to deliver graduate level courses that meet the highest standards."

Courses cost $170. Continuing education units are available for many. Three graduate credits are also available for each course at a cost of $600.
