iPass and campusSIMs Bring Secure, Always-On Wi-Fi to International Students

The partnership provides international students with simple, secure and always-on Wi-Fi for mobile devices.

Today iPass, a provider of global mobile connectivity, announced a new partnership with campusSIMs, a mobile service for international students. The partnership will give students who use campusSIMs access to fast, secure and always-on Wi-Fi by leveraging the iPass SmartConnect Software Development Kit (SDK).

International students often use campusSIMs because the mobile service offers the convenience of no contract, hassle-free plans, and their SIM cards provide access onto a large 4G LTE network. With the new iPass SmartConnect SDK integration, they can now have simple, secure and always-on Wi-Fi connectivity for their mobile devices.

"Cost-effective data access is integral to the life of millennial students, who are heavily reliant on Wi-Fi to stay connected, wherever they are, whether on or off campus," said Gary Griffiths, president and CEO of iPass, in a prepared statement. "But too often, students only have Wi-Fi access when they're on campus. iPass' partnership with campusSIMs ensures that those students have instant access to secure, always on Wi-Fi the moment they arrive in the U.S. as well as throughout their studies."

Plans for campusSIMs range from $25 to $65 a month. Further information is available on the campusSIMs site.
