Central Penn College Taps Private Partner to Ease Degree Completion

Central Penn College has teamed with a private partner to offer online courses in an effort to improve access to and affordability of degree completion.

"Central Penn prepares graduates for career success by providing an affordable, hands-on, real world education," according to a news release. "Flexible course schedules, experienced and caring faculty and small class sizes demonstrate a dedication to students' personal and professional success."

The college chose to partner with StraighterLine, a company that offers a range of online courses through a $99 monthly subscription model.

"At Central Penn College, it is common practice to seek out opportunities on behalf of our students," Said Karen M. Scolforo, president of Central Penn College, in a prepared statement. "Our partnership with StraighterLine will provide students with an affordable option to complete general education requirements not currently offered at the college, and stay on track in their programs of study."
