West Virginia Wesleyan College Looks to Private Partner to Improve Access to Payment System

West Virginia Wesleyan College has adopted a new tool in an effort to make it easier and more accessible for students and parents to make payments.

After narrowing its search to payment systems that integrate with Ellucian's Colleague enterprise resource planning system, the college settled on Universal Payment (UP) from ACI Worldwide.

UP handles transactions both at the point of sale and over the internet. It includes electronic bill presentment and payment services and "orchestrates all aspects of payments processing for any payment type, any channel, any currency and any network," according to a news release.

"After looking at Ellucian's different strategic partners, we selected ACI due to both its many successes within higher education and its bill pay solution's ease of use for parents and students," said Rob Kimble, director of administrative services at the school, in a prepared statement. "Ultimately, we want to improve access to financial records for parents and students, which ACI will help us to accomplish."
