The university is working with energy storage firm Stem, Inc. to implement the company’s software-driven energy storage service to drive down energy costs across the university. Stem provides intelligent network storage and uses analytics that “optimize the value of customers’ energy assets and facilitate their participation in energy markets, yielding economic and societal benefits while decarbonising the grid,” the company website explains.

Not too far from CSU Dominguez Hills, Soka University, Whittier College, College of Marin and College of Marin all recently installed intelligent energy storage systems from Stem.
