A new offering from Blackboard allows students to order food and other items from any location via mobile device. The Blackboard Mobile Ordering App includes food ordering, dietary filtering, nutrition tracking, push marketing, announcements, surveys and feedback, and can be personalized and branded for an institution's auxiliary services needs.

Because the app integrates with Blackboard's QuadPoint Point-of-Sale system, it offers students a variety of payment options, such as paying with their meal plan. The app also automatically synchronizes items and menus, consolidates order tracking and centralizes management reporting, according to a news announcement.

In addition, Blackboard Mobile Ordering will be paired with Blackboard Incentives, a reward system designed to promote student engagement. Users can earn points for attending class and accessing campus services such as the dining hall, campus store, athletic events, campus recreation facilities and more.
