FlatWorld Adds New Features to Homework Platform

Course materials provider FlatWorld is updating its homework platform with new capabilities. Included free with most of the company's textbooks, FlatWorld Homework combines student assignments with instructor grading tools in a mobile-friendly interface, so students can complete their homework and professors can review assignments on the go, according to the company.

New features of the platform include:

  • Randomized assignments, which allow instructors to configure homework assignments with randomly selected variants so that students attempt the same questions but with different values;
  • Enhanced grade reports, including a dynamic table with compact and expanded views, sortable by student name or final score;
  • Invitation links for instructors, allowing faculty to gain self-service access to a course; and
  • Improved sorting of courses, in which users are presented with the most recently started courses first.
