ProctorU and Yardstick Merge to Form New Testing Company

Online exam security and identity management company ProctorU is merging with Yardstick Assessment Strategies, a provider of psychometrics and computer-based exam administration for professional testing organizations. The combined companies will form a new parent brand: Meazure Learning.

Yardstick and ProctorU will operate their brands as business units of the new company. The former will focus on professional testing, and the latter will continue to focus on higher education. Together, they will enable Meazure Learning to "deliver a complete, end-to-end online testing solution — incorporating psychometrics, test development, test delivery, secure proctoring, reporting and more," according to a news announcement.

Meazure Learning has raised more than $30 million in growth capital in conjunction with the merger, which it says "will allow both ProctorU and Yardstick to make additional investments in technology and services."
