Echo360 Adds Embedded Polling to Video Platform

Echo360 is giving instructors a new way to assess student learning in their courses. The company's video platform now features embedded polling and quizzing, allowing faculty to create interactive polling content, add it to their videos or class presentations, and measure student comprehension in both in-person and online environments.

Instructors can build their own library of reusable poll and quiz questions and share the interactive media with their peers. They can also use the polling function as a way to solicit feedback from students. By using embedded polling in conjunction with other Echo360 features such as its confusion indicator and analytics tools, instructors can gain precise insights into student learning as a course progresses, according to the company.

"Throughout my career, I've worked to create learning experiences that are active and engaging regardless of whether students are in the classroom or at home attending class remotely," said Perry Samson, professor of atmospheric sciences at the University of Michigan, in a statement. "Using embedded polling, I can effectively assess student learning and gather critical feedback across all teaching modalities."
