Lightspeed Upgrades Classroom Audio Solutions

Lightspeed has updated its entire line of audio solutions for education and rebranded it as Instructional Audio Solutions.

Among the updates, the company completely redesigned its Flexmike and Sharemike microphones and added a “point to pair” feature, allowing instructors to move from classroom to classroom. The company also added “small-group pod selection from the teacher microphone to eliminate the need for a separate remote-control device for Activate systems.”

Other new features include:

  • New integration with life safety systems, such as emergency alerts;

  • Two-way wireless USB links;

  • Remote firmware updates via USB; and

  • Updated user interface.
