BlueJeans Adds Remote Learning Features

Verizon Business has announced a number of new features for its BlueJeans Meetings product, designed to support hybrid and remote learning. The BlueJeans Remote Learning bundle includes classroom management tools as well as collaboration features such as a chat wizard, breakout sessions, participant reaction, intelligent highlights and multi-participant whiteboard.

A Teacher Dashboard allows instructors to arrange students in gallery view, spotlight a presenter, share content, chat and more, all in one easy-to-access place. Using the remote learning tools, educators can build the teaching experience that is best suited to their lessons, students and instructional style. Additional features include:

  • Customizable layouts, giving instructors the ability to see the entire classroom as well as classroom management tools in one view;
  • Flexible views, including a gallery view for the entire class and views sorted by participation level, alphabetical order or prioritizing raised hands;
  • Student rosters, to keep track of who is joining a session and who is in the waiting room;
  • Floating chats, which allow instructors to continue messaging while whiteboarding, sharing or annotating content; and
  • Teaching apps, including Collab Board, Breakout Sessions, Polling/Q&A and Smart Meeting highlights.

The BlueJeans Remote Learning bundle will be available in early 2022 as part of specific BlueJeans Meetings plans, or for purchase by education customers at a discounted rate. For more information, visit the BlueJeans site.
