Terra Dotta AlertTraveler App Gains Enhanced Mapping, Safety Updates

Terra Dotta AlertTraveler

Terra Dotta has updated its AlertTraveler mobile solution with new features to help meet the duty of care needs for students, faculty and staff traveling domestically or internationally. AlertTraveler is part of the company's global engagement platform, a suite of offerings for outgoing study abroad, incoming international student and scholar services, and travel risk management.

Among the updates:

  • Map views now include individual traveler locations paired with travel alerts and safety ratings for the local vicinity or areas of planned travel;
  • Country intelligence and travel alerts, including details and any restrictions, are more prominent;
  • Easier access to travel documents, travel alert subscriptions and support;
  • Streamlined incident reporting and safety sentiment sharing;
  • Enhanced safety and security notifications for administrators and travelers;
  • Check-in button prompts to confirm traveler safety; and
  • SOS button that can be tailored with specific emergency options for initiating safety requests locally as well as at a traveler's home institution.
