Mobile Computing
Apps Launched for Job Seeking Students, Job Recruiters
A technology company has launched two new mobile apps — one for
soon-to-be college graduates looking for jobs and another for companies
interested in recruiting them.
Symplicity,
a technology company that focuses on education and
government, has introduced Careers by Symplicity, a job-searching tool
for
students, and OneStop On Campus, a tool for job recruiters.
According to the company, Careers by Symplicity
allows student
job hunters to place all their resources and conduct all of their job
searches
by way of their mobile app. Among the features the app includes are:
- The ability to constantly update their profile and
availability for interviews in real time;
- A data base of available jobs that allows job seekers
to
search through those they are most qualified for and then apply for
them;
- Information on job fairs in their area; and
- An intuitive calendar that works as a dashboard so
that
students can manage interviews, career fairs and counseling
appointments.
"As the modern job market evolves and students are
required to
keep pace with changing demand, being able to pinpoint and match
graduate
skills to job opportunities is of critical importance," said Symplicity
CEO
Bill Gerety.
The OneStop On Campus app for job recruiters features:
- QR code integration so they can easily scan student
resumes;
- A rating system so they can quickly evaluate job
candidates
that they meet;
- A way to share information on candidates with members
of their
own staffs;
- A database of students who may have attended job
fairs; and
- Easily retrievable information about past, current
and future
job recruiting events.
Careers by Symplicity can be downloaded
at no charge and
subscriptions
are available for OneStop On Campus.
