Loma Linda U Deploys Autonomy BPM

Loma Linda University Adventist Health Sciences Center in California has selected Autonomy's business process management software to improve its operational efficiency. By deploying the Autonomy solution, which will include electronic forms, electronic signatures, and workflows, the university expects to transform many of its traditional paper-based processing of physician timesheets, expense reports, student-focused processes, and patient-focused processes into an automated, electronic information processing solution.

The traditional processes can be complex in nature, involve legally binding documentation, multiple layers of approval, signatures, and a significant amount of paperwork. By automating many of its paper based processes, the university aims to reduce the processing time and provide the ability to track the status of each process online.

"LLU processes thousands of forms across the entire organization every month. There is an immense amount of manual paper-based processing involved daily to ensure that we are providing students, patients, faculty, employees, and other constituent groups with the best services," said Brian Harris, executive director of Web operations at Loma Linda U. "By enabling us to move many of these paper-intensive processes into a secure online environment, we believe that the Autonomy's Business Process Management solution will be able to reduce the time and costs associated with the management of our business processes. Security, scalability, compliance, as well as ease of integration with our existing Autonomy iManage WorkSite document management system were key in our selection of the Autonomy solution."
