Mitsubishi Launches High Light Output SVGA+ LCD Projector

Mitsubishi this week introduced its new HL2750U, an LCD-based SVGA+ projector with a light output greater than 3,000 ANSI lumens. It also introduced a DICOM-simulated version of the projector for medical education and training, the MH2850U.

The HL2750U and MH2850U offer a resolution of 1,400 x 1,050, a brightness of 3,100 ANSI lumens, and a contrast ratio of 600:1. The 3LCD systems use 0.8-inch LCD panels and provide up to 5,000 hours of lamp life in economy mode.

Other specs include:

  • Manual focus and zoom;
  • Projection from 40 inches to 300 inches (diagonal);
  • Video inputs: Two mini D-Sub 15-pin ports, DVI-D with HDCP, S-video, and composite video;
  • Audio I/O: RCA (L/R) and a stereo minijack; and
  • RS-232C cable and USB support, as well as RJ-45 for projector control.

Both of the new models weigh in at 10.8 pounds and measure 13.1" x 4.9" x 10.7".

The HL2750U and MH2850U are available now. The HL2750U sells for $3,995, and the DICOM-simulated model, the MH2850U, sells for $7,995. Further information can be found here.
