AVerMedia Ships 1080p Classroom Document Camera

AVerMedia Information recently began shipping a new model in its AVerVision line of classroom document cameras, the AVerVision 355AF.

The new portable model sports a 5 megapixel camera resolution and offers 1080p HD output. It also offers one-touch audio and video recording without the use of a computer, but rather using a USB flash drive or SD card. (Audio can be recorded through the integrated microphone.

Some of the AVerVision 355AF's other features include:

  • An 11" x 14" viewing area;
  • 10x optical zoom, with a combined zoom of 80x;
  • VGA I/O, DVI and composite video out;
  • PIP, horizontal and vertical split screen, and various image effects;
  • Image freeze; and
  • Image rotation (up to 270 degrees in 90 degree increments).

The AVerVision 355AF also offers annotation capabilities, screen capture, virtual transparency, and network sharing, which allows the unit to share materials with other units across a LAN.
