Liquidware Migration Tool Gauges Viability of Migration Candidates

Liquidware Labs has added a new function within its migration assessment tool that enables IT administrators to perform a "one-click" assessment of the readiness of desktops for the migration.

The One-Click Assessment Findings Deliverable within Stratusphere allows an organization to identify the readiness of client machines to be migrated to VMware View, Citrix XenDesktop, and Microsoft Windows 7.

The administrator installs Stratusphere into an existing desktop environment to monitor and gather performance metrics of network, user, and application usage behavior. The assessment period lasts from five to 30 days, the company said. The One-Click feature generates reporting and a Microsoft PowerPoint file to summarize the assessment results for the chosen user groups to identify possible candidates for migration.
