Epson Enhances Interactive Projectors
Epson is enhancing its interactive projection devices--including the BrightLink 450Wi interactive projector and BrightLink Solo interactive module--with the addition of TeamBoard Draw, a software suite designed for interactive presentations.
TeamBoard Draw is a cross-platform suite (for Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux) that allows teachers to draw and take notes on a projection surface using an interactive projector or whiteboard. It includes tools for annotation and capture, so notes can be shared and reused. It also includes the ability to display picture in picture tutorials. Other features include:
- Writing and drawing tools, including handwriting recognition;
- Support for a wide range of file formats, including PowerPoint, PDF, HTML, and other image and document formats;
- Animated capture of presentations; and
- Text to speech capabilities.
The software will ship with Epson's BrightLink 450Wi, a short-throw projector that provides whiteboard-free interactivity, and BrightLink Solo, a USB-based hardware module for Mac OS X and Windows systems that converts standard projectors into interactive projectors.
The BrightLink 450Wi and BrightLink Solo are available now for $1,799 and $599, respectively. Further information can be found here.
