ARM University Program Ships Lab-in-a-Box

ARM's University Program has begun shipping Lab-in-a-Box, a set of equipment, software and teaching resources for use in engineering courses. The ARM University Program provides ARM tools free of charge "to support teaching, laboratory work and educational research projects."

The Lab-in-a-Box kit includes 10 ARM development boards and 100 one-year licenses of ARM Keil MDK-ARM Pro software. The licenses are renewable. The kit also includes "lecture note slides, demonstration codes, lab manuals and projects with solutions in source."

The UK's University of Cambridge was among the first to receive the kits. "It has immediately proven itself to me as an excellent resource for our research and teaching activities," according to Boris Adryan, Royal Society University Research Fellow at the Cambridge Systems Biology Centre and the Department of Genetics. "The ARM-based materials it contains are helping us to connect our teaching of systems biology with the world's latest embedded computing and sensing technology."

Lab-in-a-Box kits are available now. Additional details, including a form for requesting kits, can be found at ARM's University Program portal for educators, researchers and students.
