Infinitely Virtual Launches Virtual Servers For Higher Ed

Cloud Server provider Infinitely Virtual has launched a virtual server offering targeted at higher education institutions and K-12 schools.

Dubbed Virtual Terminal Server — Premium (EDU), "the plan consists of five tiers — Gold, Platinum, Platinum+, Diamond and Diamond+ — with pricing as low as $8.53 per user/month," according to a news release. "At the Gold level, the package includes 2 cores, 1 GB of RAM and 20 GB of storage; at the top end, the Diamond+ level, that scales to 8 cores, 8 GB of RAM and 60 GB of storage."

"The Premium EDU plan includes Active Directory controllers, fileserver, SharePoint and Terminal Server, so educational institutions can obtain the most robust application and file sharing solution yet developed," said Adam Stern, CEO at Infinitely Virtual, in a prepared news release. "Our plan combines the security and control of redundant Active Directory controllers, the file sharing simplicity of a fileserver and SharePoint server, with our Virtual Terminal Server – and our engineers can get users up and running in less than a day."
