WebAssign To Offer Resources for 4 Mathematical Association Texts

WebAssign has partnered with the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) to release online materials for four of the organizations titles.

As a result of the partnership, WebAssign will provide instant feedback to student questions, tutorials and an e-book for each title.

"By partnering with WebAssign, MAA is able to offer new tools to accompany some of our outstanding textbooks to enhance student learning," said Michael Pearson, executive director at MAA, in a prepared statement. "While providing students with immediate feedback, faculty can also leverage the data gathered by WebAssign to assess student progress and design instructional strategies that match students' needs."

The four titles, most of which will be available in the spring, include:

  • Calculus for the Life Sciences;
  • Mathematical Interest Theory;
  • Functions, Data And Models: An Applied Approach to College Algebra; and
  • Ordinary Differential Equations: From Calculus to Dynamical Systems.

"As a leader in the advanced mathematics arena, we are excited about this new partnership and the opportunity to broaden WebAssign's math offering," said Jennifer Ferralli, WebAssign mathematics product manager, in a prepared statement. "We are especially pleased to offer Mathematical Interest Theory, which represents a new course area for us."
