Taskstream, Tk20, LiveText Combine to Launch New Company

Three assessment management vendors have joined forces to launch Watermark, a new provider of assessment software for higher education. The new company, which comes out of the mergers of Taskstream, Tk20 and LiveText last year, offers products for assessment and accreditation planning, learning outcomes measurement, and e-portfolios and student assessment.

"We consolidated the top three competitors because we realize that, together, we can do more to empower institutions with the kind of data needed to improve learning," explained Kevin Michielsen, CEO of Watermark, in a statement. "With our new shared vision, we are working to provide an educational intelligence platform that helps institutions connect information across the institution and gain meaningful insights into student learning."

Watermark's mission: "to put better data into the hands of administrators, educators and learners everywhere, so they can better understand progress towards goals and use these insights to drive improvement," according to a company statement. For more information, visit the Watermark site.
