Blackboard Updates User Experience, Accessibility for Moodlerooms
Blackboard has updated Moodlerooms, its services for open source learning management system (LMS) Moodle, with a new interface and improved accessibility.
The interface improvements are designed to make the user experience and navigation simpler and more intuitive and allow users to more easily search for and use content. The forum has also been updated to improve post sorting and searching and to improve access via screen readers and other assistive tools for users with impaired vision.
"We are extremely excited about the latest improvements we have made to Moodlerooms and the improved experience it will give learners and instructors in the Moodle community," said Mark Strassman, senior vice president of product management for Blackboard, in a prepared statement. "Advances like these help us work toward our mission of improving the educational experience and helping institutions be successful in meeting their teaching and learning goals. Blackboard continues to be the only company that can truly blend the right technologies, resources and services to meet the unique goals of all of our customers, regardless of their LMS."
