Follett, XanEdu Partner on Custom Course Materials

Follett Higher Education Group and XanEdu have partnered to make XanEdu's course material customization platform available through Follett Discover.

Comprising Faculty Discover and Student Discover, Follett Discover allows students and faculty members to search for, evaluate and order course materials, including those from publishers, open educational resources and custom content.

As part of the new partnership, "the custom books built in XanEdu are instantly sent to Faculty Discover for the campus store to place an order," according to a news release. "As course listings are updated in Faculty Discover, required course material information also becomes immediately available for students to view in the Student Discover tool."

"By increasing access to our customization platform and content research services, the new Follett Discover functionality provides faculty members with greater flexibility, choice and ultimately control over the price of their assigned course materials," said Brett Costello, XanEdu's chief operating officer, in a prepared statement.
