E-Learning Market Expected to Experience Major Growth Over Next Five Years

The e-learning market is predicted to experience significant global growth over the next five years, largely driven by advances in technology, evolving business needs and a number of emerging learning and development trends, according to Docebo’s newly released research report, “E-Learning Market Trends and Forecast 2017-2021.”

Docebo, an international learning management system (LMS) provider, draws from a number of other reports and sources in its latest e-learning market report. For instance, the report says the global corporate e-learning market is projected to reach approximate revenues of $31 billion by the end of 2020. This information initially came from Technavio’s report, “Global Corporate E-Learning Market 2016-2020.”

Docebo reports that social and collaborative tools, followed closely by mobile delivery, lead the pack at the top of the list of top learning technology priorities. This initially came from Brandon Hall Group’s 2016 Learning Technology Study.

Worldwide revenues for game-based learning products reached $2.6 billion in 2016 and are predicted to surge to $7.3 billion by 2021, according to Docebo. This information comes from Ambient Insight’s report, “The 2016-2021 Global Game-Based Learning Market.”

“This report pulls together metrics and insights from a wide variety of sources, including leading analyst voices in the industry,” said Kristy Sadler, chief marketing officer at Docebo, in a statement.

Other findings in Docebo’s report include learning and development budget allocation information, anticipated industry drivers, and growth analyzed by geographic region.
