Jitterbit's Online Integration Service Gets 250 Updates

An online application integration service has been updated with 250 features, including a new "connector builder" and an enhanced user interface. Jitterbit's Harmony Spring 2019 release offers "Cloud Studio," an online application where users create, design and manage new or existing projects. Cloud Studio also lets users share the connectivity they've set up with others. The Jitterbit platform allows people to connect software-as-a-service, on-premise and cloud applications.

The latest edition also includes "Connector Builder" and Connector SDK for creating connectivity between endpoints, the former designed for users who want to set up connections without using code and the latter for developers.

New connectors were also part of the latest release, covering Evernote, Google Drive, HubSpot and other programs. The release also added boosted its API Manager capabilities to give users greater visibility and control over their public and private API gateways.

"There are 150,000 SaaS apps and 5,000 [artificial intelligence] solutions available today, and enterprises need an efficient way to connect a wide range of best-of-breed solutions to harness the value of this exploding number of new technologies," said the company's chief strategy officer, Simon Peel, in a statement. "Jitterbit Harmony Spring '19 enables organizations to keep up with the rising demand for connectivity by giving users from across the enterprise the tools they need to handle different integration scenarios."

Among Jitterbit's institutional customers are Boston's Berklee College of Music, which has used Jitterbit Harmony for its virtual campus connections between Salesforce and Ellucian; Barton Community College in Kansas, which used the software to connect Salesforce and its Banner system; and Florida's University of Miami, which integrated PeopleSoft and Salesforce.
