2U Offers Partner Universities Help in Training Faculty for Online Instruction

2U just launched "No Back Row PRO," a free set of services to help faculty who are part of its university partners ramp up their online delivery of courses. 2U contracts with institutions of higher education to deliver specific degree programs online.

The new offering will give campus-based faculty basic training on how to teach effectively online; access to real-time, interactive webinars led by experienced faculty who have been running courses online; office hours for small group help; and practice sessions held on Zoom and facilitated by experts at 2U.

The company said these are some of the same services provided to any 2U program that is converting to online with the help of 2U. Each 2U customer institution can designate up to 150 instructors for the free training.

2U said it was launching the program "in response to the overwhelming need we're hearing from our partners for high-quality training for campus-based faculty."

To learn more, faculty are advised to reach out to those on campus delivering their degree programs with 2U.
