Colorado State University Global Joins Consortium for Sharing Online Courses

Colorado State University's online campus, CSU Global, has joined the Higher Education Course Recovery Consortium, a network of institutions that are sharing high-quality online courses to help connect students with the courses they need during the COVID-19 pandemic. The consortium, powered by Acadeum, now comprises 26 accredited universities and boasts a repository of more than 9,000 courses.

Through the consortium, students can access more than 2 million seats in online courses available at member institutions. Start dates and course lengths are flexible. All credits, financial aid and GPA apply toward graduation at students' home institution.

"In the past few months students have faced unprecedented disruption to not just their higher education, but across their lives," said Rob Manzer, chief academic officer at Acadeum, in a statement. "By joining the consortium and allowing access to their courses, CSU Global is providing opportunities for students affected by this pandemic to continue their educational pathways and stay on track to graduate on-time."

"We are proud to be able to partner with Acadeum to help students all across the country continue progressing toward their degree completion during these difficult times," said CSU Global Provost and VP of Strategic Development Karen Ferguson. "We know that traditional on-ground institutions have had to make difficult decisions for the safety of their community. As we move into the next academic year, we hope to extend a consortial relationship to these universities to allow them to serve their students without spending further critical resources on the development of temporary virtual courses and remote options."
