Intelitek Debuts SmartCart 4.0 Robotics Education Platform

Intelitek SmartCart 4.0

Tech training company Intelitek has debuted SmartCart 4.0, a fully integrated, all-inclusive robotics education platform. Built around a MotoMan industrial robot, it integrates a programmable logic controller, human machine interface, machine vision, smart sensors, and more, all using the same equipment students will see in the industrial workplace and use in real-world scenarios. The platform includes industrial training for robotics, PLCs, machine vision, smart sensors, IoT, system control, integration, and other in-demand job skills. Students will also learn Industry 4.0 skills, such as advanced communication, data analytics, predictive maintenance, and operational efficiency.

Intelitek unveiled SmartCart 4.0 at ACTE's CareerTech Vision 2022 conference in December in Las Vegas. As Industry 4.0 standards have become adopted worldwide, CTE programs need to train students how to integrate many different technologies in industrial robotics, Intelitek noted. SmartCart 4.0 is designed to provide such skills. "Students learn not only how the components of integrated systems work, but also how they work together," said Graham Celine, vice-president of business development for Intelitek. He said that with the skills students learn from SmartCart 4.0, they can also complete microcredentials and NIMS Industry 4.0 Production Specialist credentials

Careers the SmartCart 4.0 education platform prepares students for include robotics operator and specialist; production, maintenance, and electromechanical technician; operator/installer, industry 4.0 integrator; integration specialist; mechatronics specialist; operations supervisor; and applications engineer.
