Clarkson U Expands Partnership with Mantra Health to Offer Whole Campus Care Solution

Clarkson University has announced an expansion of its partnership with Mantra Health to offer a broader digital health program called Whole Campus Care for more mental healthcare options for students. The programs are clinically informed and offer various options to support student health 24/7.

Using what the university calls a "stepped approach," expanded options include both services available anytime to students without referrals and suggested scheduled services following a clinical evaluation. Services include:

  • 24/7 Crisis Support/On-Demand Emotional Support: Campus-specific crisis counselors for issues such as suicide prevention and other problems, who provide follow-up reporting and crisis and suicide prevention materials as well as trainings to faculty, staff, and students;
  • Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP): Available for students with "complex and acute mental health needs" such as self-harm and comorbid substance abuse issues;
  • Psychiatry: Psychiatric care, in conjunction with medical supervision, to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with ADHD, severe depression, and other problems;
  • Therapy: Whole-person care providers accessible across the U.S. who are trained to work especially with college students and are screened for cultural humility, receive clinical supervision, and undergo regular clinical training;
  • Emotional Wellness Coaching: Goal-driven intervention on a short-term basis for students who want to learn how to self-manage their issues;
  • Self Care: Self-guided wellness program for students based on dialectical behavior therapy: mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotional regulation; and
  • Peer-to-Peer Support Community: Safe, anonymous community where students can give and receive support from peers in a judgment-free, inclusive environment, moderated by a professional.

Services include virtual sessions for students who feel uncomfortable with counseling in person, need flexible scheduling such as evenings and weekends, or want to work with providers from specific backgrounds or life experiences.
