Ease Learning and Freedom Learning Announce Merger to Combine Similar Missions

Ed tech companies Ease Learning (EL) of Boston and Freedom Learning Group (FLG) of Lake Mary, FL, have announced a merger to strengthen the core services of each company to provide value to their clients.

EL brings learning experience design expertise to the table and has over 20 years' experience assisting colleges and universities in online skills-based learning with an emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

FLG provides educational courseware, content, and services including instructional design, assessment writing, accessibility compliance, accuracy review, subject-matter expertise, and project management. It boasts a global remote workforce comprised on military spouses and veterans specializing in educational content development. Fields of expertise include cybersecurity, healthcare, and finance, the company said.

The merger enhances and expands the similar missions of these two companies, FLG said in its release.

"Our organizations have been working on parallel tracks to address the urgent need for skills-based learning," said Michele Baird, FLG CEO. "While Ease has deep relationships with leading university partners, Freedom Learning Group has strong ties with industry leaders in workforce development. Together, we will provide scale and innovation to our partners."

Baird will continue to lead the business, while EL's founder, Laurie Pulido, will serve as chief strategy officer.
