Polytechnic Institute of NYU Deploys Array Networks' SSL VPN

Polytechnic Institute of NYU, an affiliate of New York University, has deployed Array Networks' SSL VPN solution to provide secure Layer 3 remote access to network applications. The  system provides identity-based customized portals for users -- approximately 5,000 faculty, students, and employees -- to access their individual information.  With one click, each group gets access to the information that it needs, which ultimately enhances productivity. Moreover, the IT Department can centrally manage the user base, which reduces the time spent adding and deleting users.

“Providing university users with a cost-effective, secure access solution has been our goal. When we looked for an SSL VPN product, we needed a solution that could handle Layer 3 connections, was easy to deploy, and would provide us with great performance,” said Hani Basilious, technical director for Polytechnic. “It [Array Networks' SSL VPN] offers exceptional performance, [plus] easy-to-use features that fulfill our larger mission of providing innovative / cutting edge technology.”
