Texas College System Moves to Angel LMS

The five-campus Lone Star College System in Texas has adopted Angel LMS from Angel Learning as the learning management system for its online operations.

In the implementation, Angel LMS will be used for both online and hybrid course offerings through Lone Star's distance learning program, Lone Star College-Online.

"The Lone Star College System is committed to providing students the most successful online learning experience possible," said William Durham, associate vice chancellor for Lone Star College-Online, in a statement released Tuesday. "Angel's user-friendly interface will be the first change students and faculty will experience as we transition to the Angel LMS. Behind the scenes, advanced Angel functionality including Learning Object Repositories and Learning Outcomes Management will positively impact how LSC-Online enhances instructional support for faculty and will also provide tools to measure results."

Lone Star College System serves about 52,000 students in five campus strewn about 1,400 square miles. Campuses include CyFair, Kingwood, Montgomery, North Harris, and Tomball. Lone Star College-Online serves about 16,000 students in blended and purely online courses.
