Blackboard Teams with Internship Site To Help Students Get to Work

Blackboard will soon offer a Building Block that institutional customers can plug into their Blackboard Learn learning management systems to help students find internships and jobs. The company has struck an agreement with Internships.com, which currently features 50,000 internship positions at more than 24,000 American companies. The integration will give visibility to potential internships within the LMS and help students search and apply for the positions.
Besides internship posts, the Website has career tools, such as integration with Facebook that students can use to leverage their social network to find jobs and gain introductions to hiring companies.
Institutions will also be able to review aggregate statistics about their students' activities on the Internship site, including site traffic, use of tools, and top internship searchers.
