CyberFed Launches Site To Help Find Cybersecurity Competitions
The Cybersecurity Competition Federation (CyberFed) has launched a new Web site designed to get more people involved with cybersecurity competitions and, ultimately, cybersecurity professions.
The new site allows organizations to list competitions at high school, college, professional or open levels. Individuals can search for competitions using filters such as difficulty level, whether the event is in-person or virtual or by type, such as offensive, defensive, forensics or challenge.
The site is also home to the CyberFed Show, a new Web series from the organization that covers cybersecurity competition news, digital threats, competition design and player development.
"Cybersecurity competitions are an opportunity to develop and test much needed skills sought by government and industry," said Dan Manson, principal investigator of CyberFed, in a prepared statement. "Competitions build on classroom knowledge and can be just as valuable as coursework, if not more. We don't want people to struggle to find a cybersecurity competition; CyberFed wants to make it easy for them."
